This performance is in support of The WomenHeart: The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease, whose mission is to improve the lives of women with or at risk for heart disease while fighting for equity in heart health. Based in Washington, DC, WomenHeart reaches all over the US with its trained patient volunteer groups, including four individual groups in New York City. They provide peer-to-peer support, critical information, and encouragement to other women. But why now? It matters most now. When women’s health gets overlooked, we need to act in ways to support the companies that are continuing to work toward equality in healthcare.
